What does a wedding planner do and why do I need one?
Wedding planners organise and manage the logistics of all the vendors required for your wedding day. This includes the venue, celebrant or priest, DJ, florist, catering and sometimes the hair and makeup artists if the couple wishes.
Wedding planners will provide recommendations for each vendor based upon the couple’s description or brief of what they’d like on their wedding day. It is the wedding planner’s responsibility to complete all liaison with these vendors as well as manage ongoing invoices and payments.
Wedding planners can assist with the preparation of just the wedding day or all additional marital events if the couple wishes.
What is the difference between a wedding planner and an event planner?
Wedding planners are experienced and trained in organising all types of events in addition to specialising in weddings. Event planners are trained in organising different types of events but are not trained in planning weddings. Wedding planners hold more industry contacts for specific wedding requirements such as wedding cake suppliers and mobile florists.
How much do your services cost?
Every event is unique and there are many factors that need to be taken into consideration when quoting service fees. This is why we provide complimentary consultations as they are essential to quote service fees accurately.
Once a consultation has been completed quotes are determined by a percentage of the overall wedding budget. Lower budgets have lower percentages and higher budgets have a larger percentage. For example, if a couple were wishing to have a home-based wedding and their budget was $5k. They would be quoted a 5% service fee which equals a $250 fee. This way clients balling on a budget can do just that! Couples also have the option to select full or partial wedding planning/styling to suit their needs.
Wedding day coordination is charged at an hourly rate of $80 + GST for a minimum 8 hour booking. Travel requirements over 35km will also incur a $100 travel fee.
Wedding day content creation of $50 + GST for a minimum 6 hour booking. Travel requirements over 35km will also incur a $100 travel fee.
Where do you offer services?
Our home studio is based in Holland Park West, 12 minutes from Brisbane CBD. Our services are offered to clients in Brisbane, The Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Northern NSW.
Areas outside of these regions will be considered but cannot be guaranteed.
